Helena Deland - Silver and Red

For Helena’s music video, I tried something new. I stayed at a cabin in the woods for a few days and tried to ‘respond to the land’, which ended up being following the interesting bubbles and ice formations of a nearby frozen over creek.

My phone fell into the water

The tripod arm is wedged between two sheets of ice... it was very stable.

Here are some of the images I sent to Helena after my explorative Day 1.

My hope for the final video to blur the lines between abstract footage of naturally occuring motion, and frame-by-frame animation.
