The Bay of Fundy boasts the largest tidal range in the world - in its most dramatic areas the sea level changes by 40 to 50 feet, twice a day, every day. Performed in May of 2022, this 6 hour, continuous, and slow-motion walk (sped up to the duration of the song) is a study of the tides at Five Islands, Nova Scotia which at low tide reveals a sprawling bed of red clay and sand that sits between the coast and the islands themselves.
Directed by David May and Nik Arthur
Made in collaboration with Jonah Yano

We spent a while testing the technique. Originally, we were going to have several scenes, not just one long take. It actually wasn’t until after we shot the long take at the Bay of Fundy that we realized we’d just shot the whole video.
