Bio
Nik Arthur is an experimental animator and director living in Montreal, Canada. His clients include Youtube, Vice, SSENSE, Psycho Films, RCA Records, XL Recordings, and more.
In his practice, Nik is often blurring the disciplinary boundaries between mark making, animation, and filmmaking. Usually working with organic material, Nik develops distinct techniques with care for nature’s properties, and how these can shape new methods of storytelling. In collaboration with the nature he’s working with, Nik depicts life in the overlooked bits of nature around us.
